The core equipment of the NPK granular fertilizer production line is the drum granulator. Through the wet agglomeration process, the drum granulator utilizes the extrusion force generated by the rotation of the cylinder and liquid-phase conditions to agglomerate NPK raw materials (such as Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium, etc.) into spherical granules. The interior of the equipment is lined with rubber sheets or acid-resistant stainless steel liners, enabling automatic scar removal. This design eliminates the traditional scraper device and reduces material adhesion

Raw materials such as phosphoric acid, ammonia gas, triple superphosphate slurry, and potassium fertilizer are mixed in proportion to ensure balanced nutrient content. For example, the concentration of phosphoric acid needs to be ≥40% P₂O₅ (for DAP production).
Ammoniation Granulation: Ammonia gas is injected into the drum, where it undergoes a neutralization reaction with phosphoric acid. This raises the temperature of the slurry and promotes granule formation.
Cold Granulation Process: A small amount of water is added, and granules are formed through mechanical extrusion. This process is suitable for low-concentration compound fertilizers.
Drying and Cooling: Granules are sent to a dryer to reduce moisture to a safe range, then passed through a cooler to prevent caking.
Screening and Coating: Oversized/undersized granules are screened out, and qualified products are coated to improve appearance and storage stability.
Quantitative Packaging: Automatic packaging machines complete the sub-packaging of finished products, with an error rate of <0.5%.
Unqualified granules screened out are returned to the granulator for re-granulation. The return material ratio must be stable to maintain system balance.
The exhaust gas from the dryer and cooler is treated through cyclone dust collection + dilute phosphoric acid washing, which reduces dust emissions and meets environmental protection requirements.
